Installation & setup
Install and set up CommercePilot
This guide is for the WordPress/WooCommerce edition of CommercePilot distributed through NearBuyStore. Back up your website files and database before installation or upgrades.
Before you install
- WordPress 6.4 or later and PHP 7.4 or later are required by the bundled CommercePilot installer.
- Keep WooCommerce installed and active. Check the downloaded release notes for exact WooCommerce compatibility.
- Have administrator access to the store where CommercePilot will run.
Install step by step
- Visit the CommercePilot downloads page and choose the WordPress tab.
- Download the current ZIP. Keep it as a ZIP; do not unpack it before using the WordPress uploader.
- On your store, go to Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin. Select the ZIP, install and activate it.
- Open the CommercePilot navigation inside your store and follow its first-run/setup checks.
- If your edition asks for a license, activate it through the CommercePilot plugin itself. NearBuyStore Suite does not issue or override CommercePilot keys.
- Review WooCommerce connection, sync status, business settings, permissions and at least one order/report before using it for live business decisions.
When upgrading
Back up the store, read release notes and use the intended CommercePilot update path. Do not delete the plugin or its data merely to replace the version. Recheck reports and connections after an upgrade.
